This week has ended with great news for Restore Passenger Rail.
One of the organizers says: Yesterday (Wednesday) saw a breakthrough for Restore Passenger Rail.
“We started with a rally outside the High Court in support of Rosemary, Jen and Alex who were denied bail and imprisoned for trying to bring the urgency of the climate crisis to the government.
“Here is a clip of Rosemary speaking from prison on day seven along side footage of the rally:I received a letter from Rosemary in prison and this paragraph from day four really stood out:
“Some months ago bream washed up on our local beach, 1,000’s of them, many still flapping.
“They’re a deep sea fish. The locals picked them up for dinner and they were the subject of discussion for a while – free fresh fish! How great! Whole populations of creatures are dying.
I couldn’t go down to the beach that day.”
Thanks to you all, for showing your support for Rosemary, Jen and Alex. Thank you for being part of this movement and refusing to give up on the human race.
Sharing a great campaign is like sharing a great piece of music! Share the love, it’s great way show you care 🙂
Now for some good news!
Rosemary’s lawyer appeared in the High Court, Wellington, in front of Justice Grice.
Yesterday evening (Wednesday)( Rosemary was freed from prison with an Electronic Monitoring Ankle bracelet and is on her way home.
