Jan preston in NelsonThere will be a musical treat next weekend in the village. Jazz and blues artist Jan Preston will be playing

  ~ at St Peters Hall, Paekakariki
~ Sunday June 1st at 3pm

Originally from the West Coast and later Napier, Jan now lives in Sydney and is one of Australasia’s leading female musicians.

She has seven music awards and had sell concerts throughout Australasia. Jan composes for film and television and has played at festivals around the world.  In 2012 she had several concerts in China, one being at the famous Bird’s Nest in Beijing.

She enjoys performing in New Zealand: I love the Wellington area and am very excited to be playing again in Paekakariki with my husband, Mike Pullman, who will be joining me on percussion.

Cultural talent runs in the family as Jan’s sister is renowned filmmaker Gayleen Preston.
