A new 30-year growth assessment shows the Kāpiti District is well placed to accommodate expected growth over the next ten years.
But it has got more work to do to accommodate 30-year growth projections, according to the Kāpiti Coast District Council (KCDC).
The KCDC says Kāpiti can expect an estimated population increase of around 13,000 by 2047. This equates to an estimated 6000 new dwellings.
It says: “We’ve been preparing for growth for some time and work is already underway to ensure we meet the future needs of Kāpiti.”
