Three Seek Otaki Labour Candidacy

Penny GaylorThree nominations have been received when nominations closed on December 6 for the Labour candidacy for the Otaki electorate in the 2014 general election, the Otaki Labour Electorate Committee has announced.

The prospective candidates are (listed alphabetically by surname):

  • Penny Gaylor
  • Rob McCann
  • Jade Teki.

 

“Profiles and phJade Tekiotographs of each nominee have been posted on Otaki Labour’s website to inform party members and the general public,” Bruce Taylor, Spokesperson for the Labour Electorate Committee, said. The web address is www.otaki-labour.org.nz

“A busy round of local Labour Party branch meetings will be held this coming week at which the three nominees will speak and answer questions from members,” Bruce Taylor continued.

 

 

The meeting schedule is

  • Levin on Monday 9 December
  •  Waikanae  on Thursday 12 December
  • Paraparaumu on Friday 13 December.

 

“Full detailRob McCanns of these branch meetings, to which all party members and intending members are cordially invited, can be found on the Otaki Labour website,” he said.

“The selection meeting for the Labour candidate for Otaki will be held on Saturday 14 December 2013 at the Otaki College Hall from 1pm. All financial members of the Labour Party in the Otaki electorate are eligible to attend and participate in the selection process,” Mr Taylor explained. “People may renew their memberships or join the party on the day.”
