Police have been canvassing an area around Eatwell Avenue, Paraparaumu Beach where Raymond Piper 23 was last seen on May 15 and they are urging residents to check bush and scrub areas near their homes.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam, officer in charge of the investigation, said police had unsubstantiated information that Mr Piper, 23, had been the victim of foul play.

Mr Oxnam said, “we are considering all options.”

Yesterday Police searched a large area around Eatwell avenue but failed to find any clues.

We have now eliminated this area from out search and we urge Kapiti Residents to check scrub or bush areas near their homes for anything that may relate to Raymond Piper’s dissapperance,” said Mr Oxnam.

Mr Piper was last seen in  Eatwell avenue after visiting his former partner Hanna Lark.

Ms Lark had been out and when she returned she found that Mr Piper had gone leaving behind his cash card, driver’s licence and extra clothing.

Police now have more than 25 investigators on the case and Mr Oxnam said, “anyone who wished could provide police with confidential information relating to Mr Piper’s disappearance.”
