Year 8, Paraparaumu School

Monday 12 May was a very special day for Paraparaumu School.  It was the Cross-country at Kaitawa Reserve.

First to go were the younger student of Paraparaumu School . On your marks, get set, go! said Mr Caldwell.  The younger ones were off!

Now for the Year 8s.  As Mr Caldwell got ready , he said, “Go!”  As we jogged up Riwai Street’s very steep hill to the water tower I thought to myself, “Man, we should have been training in the holidays.” “I already had a stitch’, said Quinn Ramsay.

As I jogged down Kaitawa Crescent, people cheered us.  I came fourth, myself.

As Paraparaumu School walked back, would you believe, it started to rain!  So we ran back.

Next, the staff will be selecting students to go to the Interschool Cross-country tournament at Waikanae Park.
