By Angelo Robinson
On Sunday 20 March, in glorious sunshine, Hoop Club Kapiti and Kapiti Basketball Association had their AGM and family picnic at Otaihanga Domain.
Families had games of cricket, softball, Frisbee, egg and spoon race, and ended up with an entertaining egg catching contest.
The highlight was the awarding of sponsored trophies for outstanding contributions last season, including:

~ Paul Roberts for the ‘Grafic’ KBA Coach of the Year
~ Kaito Ohara for the ‘Finman’ KBA U17 Boys Player of the Year
~ Evyator Tabor for the ‘Beach Osteopathic Centre’ KBA U15 Boys of the Year
~ ‘Downtown Cinema’ team of the year went to the KBA U15 Boys Team
~ Amy Parker for the ‘Coffee+’ KBA Referee of the Year
~ Chairman’s Award went to Patrick Caudle for over 16 years work as the KBA Treasurer.
Angelo Robinson said that “KBA and Hoop Club Kapiti is all about our wider family and it was great to see so many families relaxing and having fun in the sun”.
