Police catch Youths in possession

Police located a 18 year old male in Ruapehu Street, Paraparaumu on Friday night 10 September in Possession of a orange spray can, and white shoe restorer. Police were unable to charge him with tagging offences because he did not admit to any, however he was charged with having in his possession implements used for tagging offences without reasonable excuse. Sergeant Muir said "it is unfortunate we were unable to link him to the fresh tagging on the railway platform." Police also located 2 youths in Kena Kena school grounds. One of the youths was in possession of a tomahawk, crow bar and two hammers. This youth admitted to having these in his possession so he could destroy Mayoral signs. These males will be dealt with by Kapiti Youth aid team.
