Trans Metro train derails

Delayed passengers kept onboard

1 February 2011

Passengers on a metro train at Johnsonville were delayed this afternoon after their train derailed about 1pm.
The passengers were kept onboard until officials were able to disconnect all power sources to ensure safety.

They have now walked out of the carriage and gone their own way.

Officials are now working out the best way to get the train back onto the tracks.

In the meantime all services on the Johnsonville line have been replaced with buses until further notice.
