The Friends of Queen Elizabeth Park annual general meeting will be held at Ramaroa, the park’s new visitor centre, this Sunday, October 14, at 3pm.
Chair Russell Bell will share the trust’s achievements of the past year and plans for the future, focusing on the importance of wetland restoration as a highly effective tool against climate change.
Members of the public are welcome but must be paid-up members of the trust to vote.
The Friends also welcome nominations for new trustees, who meet monthly. Annual subs are $20 and there will be a facility to join on the day. The visitor centre is just inside the park’s Mackays Crossing entrance.
