Photo of the Week: Totara in Berkeley

Watch your step, newts crossing.

The Botanical Garden in Berkeley California is an amazing place.

It has plants, trees and shrubs from every environment on the planet, except the tundra. The various ecosystems are set apart by a network of paths, and all the items of flora are labelled.

Australasia features and there are plenty of familiar New Zealand trees such as kauri, ponga and totara (See below).
