The 50th anniversary of the momentous months fifty years ago in San Francisco, is being celebrated in a magnificent exhibition.
The Summer of Love Experience is appropriately running at the De Young Art Museum in Golden Gate Park. The Park, at the the western end of the Haight-Ashbury District, was the scene of many of the gatherings in 1967.
City Hall in downtown San Francisco (pictured alongside), is also remembering the social revolution of 1967 with photographs of scenes of the time distributed around the walls.
