LIBRARIES OPEN DURING EASTER HOLIDAYS4th April 2012
So all four district libraries — at Ōtaki, Waikanae, Paraparaumu and Paekākāriki — will be open normal Saturday hours over the long weekend.
And Paraparaumu Library will be open from 10am until 2pm on Easter Sunday.
So whether you are looking for an awesome book or magazine to read, a free computer to skype family overseas for Easter or to get away from a noisy home to study, then Paraparaumu Library is the place to be this weekend.
The theme is disasters and we’ve got some amazing crafts, stories and activities planned for children of all ages at each of our four libraries. More details are available on the library website: www.kapiticoastlibraries.govt.nz
Next week I’ll be taking my family to Paekākāriki to enjoy “Exit Dark Days,” the audio-visual solar lighting exhibit at Campbell Park.
From the 6th -14th April, at 7pm (weather permitting), the Paekākāriki Artists Collaborative will thrill us with a light and music extravaganza featuring artwork by Emily Boonen, Miriama Grace-Smith and Nicky Giles.
Do you have a SMART library card? Come into your local library to register as a SMART member and you will instantly have access to over 550,000 books, CDs, and DVDs through our regional collaboration with 25 other libraries.
And what’s even better is that it’s FREE to reserve any items you want. That’s right…we’ll bring the book you want straight to the library closest to you FREE. No strings attached, no fancy gimmicks…great customer service with a smile.
On behalf of all Kāpiti Coast District Library staff I would like to wish everyone a very safe and enjoyable Easter.
