2012 Kāpiti Arts Trail — More than 250 artists and artisans were represented at the 2012 Kāpiti Arts Trail at the weekend. A huge range of arts and artisans’ works were displayed at 😯 sites from Ōtaki to Paekākāriki.
This was the 12th annual Kāpiti Arts Trail, which has grown to become one of the most significant free public events on the Coast.
Live Arts @ My Place Join us at Kāpiti Coast District Libraries as we celebrate the arts during the month of November. Demonstrations, performances, workshops – there’s something for everyone! These are some of the twenty-three free events you can be part of:
Art demonstrations:Talented local artists will demonstrate their work in the libraries during November. These will be held at Paraparaumu on Tuesdays, Waikanae on Wednesdays and Ōtaki on Thursdays. All demonstrations are between 11.00am and 1.00pm.
E-Publishing workshop:Explore the exciting new world of self-publishing with two people who have multiple books published with Amazon and Smashwords. Bronwen Evans and Kris Pearson will guide you through the process of publishing your own book. This workshop will be held on Saturday Nov. 17th 10am-4pm at Paraparaumu Library. Bookings essential.
Music and performance:The fabulous Henpicked will play at Ōtaki Library on Friday Nov. 9th from 3.30 – 5.00pm.
On Saturday Nov. 10th and Nov. 24th from 11.00am-1.00pm there will be an open mic session at Ōtaki library. All are welcome to come along to sing, perform or play an instrument. And on Tuesday Nov. 13th and 20th Nov. from 11.00-11.30 am, Tu Meke Kapa Haka Group will entertain at Paraparaumu Library
