Today has been an unusual Wellington winter day, calm and sunny — ideal for a visit to Parliament.
And that seemed to reflect on the faces of Kris Faafoi and Kapiti supporters who were at Parliament to present the Kapiti Hospital petition to Kris Faafoi Minister of Civil Defence and MP for Mana.
The petition calling for a hospital at Kapiti was signed by more than 22,000 residents.
The main petition organisers Sue Emerali, Conrad Petersen and Kevin Burrows presented the petition to the Minster on the steps of Parliament.
The petition was presented in Parliament today.
The only local elected representatives in attendance were Kathy Spiers and Bernie Randall, which was rather disappointing.
But the enthusiasm of those present made up for the lack of elected representatatives.
