We run Coffee for a Can because it allows us to give back to the community, and since food is what we do, we choose to give back through food. Marine Parade Eatery co-owner, Fiona Grieg
Café working for the Foodbank
By Roger Childs
For the third year running the Marine Parade Eatery is collecting tinned food for people in need.
The timing couldn’t be better, as the Kapiti Community Foodbank has just reopened in a new location. (See the following story.)
In 2016 the Paraparaumu Beach café garnered over 500 cans and they are hoping to better that collection this year.
So on Wednesday July 5, locals are invited to bring in a can or more, in exchange for a cup of coffee. It’s a great way to support the Foodbank.
