The Kapiti Coast District Council says that from the middle of next week all rubbish collections will start even earlier than usual — 7am.
Licensed waste collectors have asked for the earlier time to ensure all households are serviced on their usual collection day – not the day after.

The KCDC says: “From 1 October, the collection of wheelie bins, recycling crates and rubbish bags around the district will start at 7am, rather than 7.30am.

“Residents can still put bins, crates and bags out the night before their collection day (take care that rubbish and recycling is packed firmly, so loose items don’t blow out onto the road or footpath).”
